Wired’s $10K Media Room Makeover Contest: We Have a Winner!

After more than 100 entries ranging from boringly bland to ridiculously clever (less than half of our entrants followed the rules — thanks!), we’ve finally chosen a winner for our media room makeover contest. Commence drum roll, please . Congratulations, Brandon Ward and family! Ward’s sepia-toned old-style film entry won us over with its wit and warmth. Brandon, a digital interface and experience designer, now has the opportunity to have our Wired experts trick out his family’s media room with the latest in lust-worthy entertainment technology. On his wish list: 3D and awesome. We think we can handle that. Brandon had so much fun making his entry video that he made a sequel to express his excitement over the big win. Check it out:
