Boxee is home theater PC software that makes watching streaming and downloaded media on your TV a real delight. It’s really popular for people who have Mac Minis hooked up in their living rooms, as it can be installed right on top of OS X. That is to say, you need a computer in your living room to run it. That won’t be the case forever!...
Boxee’s media player software app promises to free us all from stinky, trashy preprogrammed television by bringing web video’s hassle-free, on-demand, click-to-watch experience onto our HDTVs. The somewhat clunky alpha release of Boxee’s software has been around since the beginning of the year, but the company took a big step...

Still, we couldn’t have expected a sneak peek of the company’s planned iPhone remote control app (video after the break,) and the shock of seeing a 22-inch VIA...
Although Hulu didn’t get behind Boxee like I’d hoped (and will be implementing its own subscription service soon ), we can still look forward to the sleek and stylish Boxee Box which will hit the shelves in 2010. Streaming all your online TV, movies, videos, as well as files and apps from your own personal hard drive, the Boxee Box...
By David Ponce Fans of Boxee will apparently have the option to pay for content this summer, as the company has recently announced that they are working on a one-click payment system. Of course, Boxee built its name over the fact that it made it nearly idiot-proof to watch content downloaded for free. Or perhaps more appropriately “created”...
By day, the Airstash is a common, ordinary USB card reader. But by night, it dons the mantle of wireless connectivity, taking to the streets and sharing pictures an images in an ad-hoc, daredevil manner. The Airstash looks much like a regular card reader, with a USB plug on one end and an SD card-shaped hole in the other. In between you can find...
Since March, Wired.com has had high hopes for what we call “dongleware” — iPhone apps that take advantage of special accessories (via Bluetooth or the USB dock connector). We even compiled a wish list for dongleware we’d like to see. One of those items was an accessory that would turn your iPhone into a universal remote to...
By Andrew Liszewski While it’s clearly targeted at home theater enthusiasts or anyone who gets excited at seeing a large panel of audio-visual ports, I have a feeling that a lot of geeks might pass on this AV tee designed by Olly Moss for the simple fact that it only has 2 HDMI ports. Only 2?! I mean what year are we living in, 2008? $18...
