Fresh from its takeover of Sanyo , Panasonic has unveiled plans for a Lithium storage battery that will be able to power the gizmos in your home for a whole week. As well as giving life to your gear if your wind turbine/solar panels/platoon of cycling gnomes in the basement packs out, the battery will allow you to monitor your electricity usage... 

While we were in Japan last week, Panasonic took us on a tour of its Eco Ideas House, a home built on the idea of generating as much (if not more) energy as it consumes. While the home isn’t proven — it’s built into the Panasonic building in Tokyo, some of the technologies it uses aren’t in production, and no one actually... 

As Tesla continues on its commendable journey to surpass Ford, GM, Toyota and everyone else in total sales, it’s evidently hoping a tie-up with Panasonic will help it accomplish said goal. The two outfits have just agreed to work together in order to develop next-generation battery packs to be used within electric vehicles, which are based... 

Panasonic blew right through a ton of new products during its CES keynote , and it’s keeping up an equally frantic pace with the rest of the official business, with it pushing out no less than a half dozen press release that just cover its home audio-related offerings. Those include the SC-HC20, SC-HC30 and SC-HC40 iPod / iPhone speaker... 

We’ve been watching wireless power startups spin their wheels for years on end, and while we’ve netted a few contact-charging solutions along the way, there’s still a dire need for bona fide wireless power. A most unlikely candidate has just shown up to deliver that very need, with Sony’s wireless power supply system reportedly... 

On March 10, Best Buy will officially start selling Panasonic’s new 3D TVs at a store in downtown Manhattan. Panasonic has invited the press to take pictures and shoot video of the first person to buy one of the new sets.  Read More →
