
Eye-Fi Geeks Out with Direct FTP Transfers

Eye-Fi has added a small, nerdy, but significant new feature to its Wi-Fi-enabled SD memory cards: FTP transfers. While beaming your photos straight to a sharing site such as Flickr is a very sweet trick, not everyone wants to send pictures direct to the web without editing them first. Adding FTP uploads gives the benefits of instant (ish), off-site backup, but keeps things private. Imagine that you are taking photos in a sensitive area: a civil protest, or perhaps in a country at war. Slow Motion Lightning Video is Mindblowing
[Environment]Well, this is just about the most amazing thing I've ever seen. It's a lightning bolt that's shooting down from the sky, shot in slow motion. I'm not sure exactly how fast this camera is, but it's got to be shooting at a speed faster than the Casio EX-F1 can shoot at, at least at a resolution this high. Whatever, who cares?
