HTC was nice enough to hook us up with an HD2 unit a couple of days ago, and we just have to get this out of the way… Wow. This is really Windows Mobile? From the gorgeous 4.3″ capacitive touch display to HTC’s Sense UI, it’s really an amazing handset. The display and HTC’s UI compliment Windows Mobile 6.5’s icon set and honestly, it’s almost usable. Almost. The only thing off the bat we’re not feeling is the viciously sharp bezel around the camera lens. It scratched our desk. We’ll report back with a detailed overview in a bit, but in the meantime, check out some

The awkward name might be pure old-school Microsoft, but the new Windows Phone 7 Series is more Xbox and Zune than Windows Mobile 6.5. The design team was proportionally one of the biggest for any Microsoft product, and it shows. The handset I tried is a no-name developer tool, a plain plastic box in which the camera doesn’t line up with...
We’ve already gotten a glimpse of an updated on-screen keyboard seemingly set for inclusion in the next update to Windows Mobile 6.5, and it now looks like Microsoft might have even more changes on tap to keep folks satisfied in the buildup to Windows Mobile 7 . Apparently, something that may or may not be called Windows Mobile 6.5 ’second...
Windows Mobile 7 may be hitting AT&T and T-Mobile in the form of the HTC Diamond3, previously known as the Obsession. The Diamond3 will reportedly sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz processor, GSM/HSDPA connectivity, 3.7 inch capacitive AMOLED display with multi-touch, 5 megapixel camera with flash and HD video recording, 512MB RAM/512MB ROM,...
Remember the good old days when Windows Mobile was at the top of its game? When the Windows Mobile-powered Dell Axim went head to head with the Palm Tungsten T or when Palm shook up its Treo line by releasing the Windows Mobile-driven Treo 700WX? That was then and this is now, however, and the now is not looking so good for Windows Mobile. Phil...
What could be better than the original BlackBerry Tour? Well, the BlackBerry Tour2 obviously. We’ve just got a hold of one and will be putting it through our normal thorough review processes, but in the meantime, here are some first impressions: Physical size is nearly, if not identical to the original BlackBerry Tour The trackpad works...
Got a cool grand to drop on a Windows Phone? Oh, yeah? Then have a gander at Samsung’s latest fashion piece , the Armani -branded M7500. The cool cats over at PhoneArena managed to get their paws around a unit, and as predicted, they didn’t hesitate to bust out the camera and give us all a good look. They also took the chance to give...
From a pure specification standpoint, it’s hard to knock HTC’s HD2 . Scratch that — it’s impossible to knock the HD2. A 1GHz Snapdragon CPU is just the tip of the iceberg, with the icing on the cake being the 800 x 480 resolution display, 5 megapixel camera, GPS and a downright stunning overall design. Unfortunately, phones...
By Andrew Liszewski Imagine you crossed your desk at work with one of those Razor scooters, I think the results would look something like this Mobile Desk which I absolutely want for my next trade show. Mac Pro...Mini?
[Mods]
The steampunk mac mini mod was great, but even it can't compare to the awesome powers of this Mac Mini Pro design by Hideo Takano. On the surface, he managed to hack a mini to look like a Mac Pro that measures only 3.28" wide by 7.8" tall by 6.5" deep. However, the upgrades don't stop there.
