Nokia Booklet netbooks start infiltrating your local Best Buy
October 25th, 2009 admin

Who wants to buy a $2,000 netbook? Well, if you’d like to walk away with one for $299.99 and a $60/mo AT&T data plan for 2 years, you can. Otherwise the smarter move would be to purchase it at retail price of around $599.99 and get a data plan from AT&T without a two-year commitment. But regardless of the method of purchase, if you want a Nokia Booklet, Best Buy has got ‘em. Will they sell you one before November 15th? Probably not, but it wouldn’t hurt to try. One more shot after the break.

The netbook market is red hot, and it’s no surprise that it’s attracting new entrants. The Booklet 3G is a shot from Nokia, the world’s largest handset manufacturer. Nokia is trying to blur the line between smartphones and notebooks. While the Booklet 3G is a late entrant to an overcrowded party, it does have a few things going...

I’ve been talking the talk about Nokia’s Booklet 3G for the past few months, and now it’s time for me to walk the walk! What’s not to love about this impressively tiny netbook that I finally got my hands on? Aesthetically it has the look and feel of an Apple product (and in our books that’s a good thing) with its...

Oh no… one of our close AT&T connects informed us that AT&T might be following in Verizon’s footsteps and requiring a mandatory feature plan with some feature phones. Instead of a mandatory data plan, though, we’ve been told AT&T will require a text/messaging plan with activation. We’ll try and get more information...

TmoNews has acquired what looks to be some legit pricing information about the yet-to-be-released HTC HD2, Motorola CLIQ XT, and Nokia Nuron… and the pricing looks pretty good. The HD2 will reportedly retail for $199 with 2-year contract and $449 contract free. The $199 price point on the HD2 will also presumably be mail-in-rebate-less...

By Evan Ackerman Generally, a Nokia mobile application isn’t something we’d cover around here. So I think first, I should give you a full disclosure: I got a demo of Nokia’s new Ovi Maps app at a breakfast event yesterday morning that may have included bacon. I am reasonably confident that said bacon didn’t influence my...

Back in October we told you about Nokia filing suit against Apple over the iPhone , claiming that Apple’s mobile offering violated Nokia patents pertaining to GSM, UMTS and wireless LAN (WLAN) standards. Perhaps some legal posturing, we thought; a public and principled shot across the bow aimed at the Cupertino based tech company? Apparently...

Man, you thought Garmin and TomTom were in trouble when Google announced its free Navigation service… wait until investors hear Nokia’s news. Reuters is reporting that Nokia will offer free navigation on its smartphones. However, instead of just the US (the current Google limitation sans hacking), Nokia will be demonstrating its reach...
